On our Talent Management & Development Journey to Vietnam and Singapore you will interact with officials at the Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI) or local SGHRM office as well as with HR professionals at a local business. Meet with government officials in the Labor and Education Ministries. Visit local businesses in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to learn more about how companies hire, train, deploy, and retain their people. Gain a unique international perspective through firsthand, personal insight with local HR colleagues in both countries while interacting in small group settings with experts in your field. Learn how HR professionals ensure that they have the right talent when and where they need it while maintaining high standards of professionalism in HR management, talent acquisition, and talent development.

Day 01-02: Depart for Singapore
Arrive in Los Angeles leaving enough time for a midnight departure to Singapore. 


Day 03: Welcome to Singapore

Arrive in Singapore this afternoon. Upon arrival and after clearing Customs, the group will be met by your national guide and transferred to your local hotel for check in.


Relax this afternoon and settle into your hotel before making your way to a local restaurant for a welcome dinner.​

Day 04: Singapore - Briefing and Professional Orientation

All travelers will gather this morning with your national guide and receive further information on the program and today’s activities. Immediately following, the professional members of the group will meet with professional counterparts in Singapore to learn about human resource management. This may include meetings with the Singapore Human Resource Management Institute or SGHRM representatives, to engage with their staff and receive an overview of HR practices in Singapore while asking questions of interest to each traveler.

Guest program:

Guests will explore the Singapore Botanic Gardens today. Wander amongst the vast beauty and enjoy the peace of the gardens with a stop at the National Orchid Gardens.
After lunch the group will see how the various cultures come alive before your very eyes as you explore the nooks and crannies of each ethnic heritage enclave by turns. At Kampong Glam, admire the quiet majesty of the Sultan’s Mosque with its unmistakable golden dome. Travel on to the heart of Chinatown and experience the old and the new, tradition and modernity as you explore their teahouses and various shops. Finish up with a stop at Little India with its bustling streets showcasing aromatic and exotic spices, colorful flower-garland shops, vegetable vendors and busy curry houses.


This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner with fellow travelers.

Day 05: Singapore - Career Enrichment
Today spend the majority of the day meeting with local HR professionals or government officials from the Ministries of Labor and Education. The focus of the program is on how HR professionals ensure that they have the right talent when and where they need it while maintaining high standards of professionalism in HR management, talent acquisition, and talent development. After lunch continue your exchange with HR professionals from a local business such as PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP or enterprise application software leader SAP. The professional focus of this delegation will be finalized after enrollment has concluded and will be customized to fit the needs of the professionals enrolled on the journey. Every effort will be made to incorporate items of interest to all.


Guest program:

Your tour will begin with a visit to the iconic Marina Bay Sands SkyPark. The Sands SkyPark is also home to the world’s largest public cantilever housing a public observatory deck and spectacular views. Continue on to the Helix Bridge, a 280-meter pedestrian link way. Continue on to a city landmark, the Raffles Hotel and museum which houses memorabilia and photos from guests around the world who had stayed at the “Grand Lady of the Far East” throughout the years. Your journey through the intricate roads of Singapore will be complete with a visit to the Long Bar - frequented by celebrities and writers such as Joseph Conrad and Charlie Chaplin - where you can choose to try the famous Singapore Sling at your own expense.

Day 06: Ho Chi Minh City - Cultural Exploration
Today the group will say farewell to Singapore and fly to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).Lunch is on your own this afternoon with some free time to relax at the hotel. The Caravelle takes pleasure in presenting some of Ho Chi Minh City’s most memorable culinary experiences at six superb dining outlets. The latest addition to the mix being the Champagne Corner, a first time collaboration with Moet Hennessy. They also offer 24-hour in-room service.


This afternoon, visit the former Presidential Palace, now preserved as a museum and including the underground communications bunkers, headquarters for the Saigon Government during the American War. Continue to the War Remnant Museum which primarily contains exhibits relating to the American phase of the Vietnam War. Onwards visit Notre Dame, an impressive neo-Romanesque cathedral in the center of city. The 'wedding cake' styled Hotel d'Ville and Dong Khoi Street, formerly the center of haute couture in Saigon when it was known as Rue Catinat, can be viewed along the way.


Dinner will be provided at a local restaurant this evening.

Day 07: Ho Chi Minh City - Career Enrichment
After breakfast, start your professional exchange while meeting with government officials in the Labor and Education Ministries (subject to availability). Learn how HR professionals ensure that they have the right talent when and where they need it while maintaining high standards of professionalism in HR management, talent acquisition, and talent development.


Guest program:

Guests will visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, one of the few remaining monuments to the war, and learn the story of life underground as told by the people who lived the experience. During the conflict in Vietnam, thousands of people in the Vietnamese province of Cu Chi lived in this elaborate 200 km long system of underground tunnels. These tunnels provide a fascinating glimpse into the prolonged resistance war that the Vietnamese people endured, and also will highlight the national characteristics of perseverance and ingenuity.

Day 08: Ho Chi Minh City - Career Enrichment
After breakfast, continue your professional exchange with an overview speaker from a local HR development facility or professional society. Continue on to visit a local company or major university to interact with HR specialists.


Guest program:

Today guests will start their tour with a visit to the Fine Arts Museum. It is recognized as a first class national museum by the Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture and worth a visit while in the city. Later explore the famous Ben Thanh markets. With hundreds of stands offering products from home wares, gifts, footwear, garments, handbags to foods and many more, Ben Thanh has been widely known as one of best night markets in Asia where shoppers can stroll about to get almost anything they need. This centrally located market, which is bordered by 2 of Saigon’s busiest streets, is the place to go not only night shopping but also for a late supper. Here, guests can find contemporary clothing, men’s and ladies shoes, bags, sunglasses, bikini, souvenirs from Vietnam and lot more. As for food, Ben Thanh night market won’t disappoint with a wide range of Vietnamese food from the north and all the way down south. The night market is open until midnight.

Day 09: Mekong Delta - Cultural Exploration
After breakfast, journey south of Ho Chi Minh City by road for approximately 3 hours to the Mekong River town of Cai Be to board a motorized sampan for an enthralling introduction to life on the river. Cai Be is known for its large floating market, where samples of food products are hung from bamboo poles over the host boat in order to attract customers. From here the journey continues across the upper reaches of the river to a maze of tributaries and fruit plantations. Barges ply the route, overloaded with rice husks used as fuel for the region’s numerous brick kilns.


Depending on the season, enjoy a sampling of delicious local fruits and vegetables during lunch in the shade of a local farmer's home. Rejoin your boat for the leisurely cruise back to Cai Be. Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon.


Enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant this evening.

Day 10: Return to USA 
Say goodbye to Southeast Asia and all of your new friends! Your guide will accompany you to the local airport for your charter flight back to Los Angeles.
